CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT UNITS (CPDUs)

Information for Certified Teachers

Only certified teachers who have submitted a Certificate Renewal Plan are eligible to receive CPDU credits. All conference workshops and keynotes are available for CPDU credit except those listed under the topic area of Advocacy/Public Policy. Teachers who have submitted a Certificate Renewal Plan may pick up evaluation forms and evidence of completion forms at the conference information tables. Forms

To obtain CPDU credits:

  • Carefully choose which workshops you will attend to ensure that they fit with your Certificate Renewal Plan.
  • Pick up Evaluation Forms, available at the conference information tables before attending workshops.
  • At the end of each session, drop off the completed Evaluation Form at an information table and pick up assigned Evidence of Completion Form. (You will only be given a signed Evidence of Completion Form when you return a completed Evaluation Form.)
  • After the conference, you will be able to visit us online to download the outlines of the workshops you attended.(Outlines will be available online one month after the conference.) Save these outlines, along with your signed forms, for five years. In the case of a random audit, you may be asked to supply this detailed evidence to your local professional development committee (LPDC).
  • Submit necessary documents to your LPDC as directed. The LPDC will determine how many CPDUs to award based on the amount of time spent in the session and the session’s relevance to your Certificate Renewal Plan.
